These values have been passed down through four generations of our family and our company, along with a deep and sincere love for the materials that nature off ers us, the knowledge that comes from experience and research, harmony with our environment, and the beauty that becomes a part of our everyday life. That is how our products are created, made to last a long time, and ready to enhance any space or project with positive values. Our domestic and contract collections are the result of blending our cultural heritage and research with the creativity of major Italian and international designers. These products have the distinction of ably giving new forms to timeless materials, and they have received important accolades such as the ADI Design Index award for innovation. Tangible responses to concrete daily needs, performance tested for resistance and durability by Catas, one of the biggest certification laboratories in the wood and furniture sector.
Natural Culture is a name that sums up a new awareness, and expresses our longstanding identity. The expression of the environmental, technical, aesthetic and cultural values of wood and other natural materials. An idea transformed into beauty, warmth and wellbeing through a real and profound knowledge of wood, and an authentic love of nature. Because nature belongs to everyone, and is everyone’s future.
Passoni Design is an Italian company that was founded in 1948 and grew up within the Friuli chair triangle, thanks to a high level of technical expertise in woodworking. Since the 1960s the company has been developing its presence on foreign markets, establishing itself as a serious and reliable interlocutor, capable of satisfying the demands of international partners.
The development of design products is a natural progression: technical expertise and the ability to give substance to projects, even the most visionary ones, favour the creation of new collections over time, thanks to the collaboration with important Italian and international architects, including the Swiss studio atelier oï.
In its DNA, Passoni Design has always cultivated a special focus on the use of natural materials with an approach linked to sustainability and well-being. Already in 2008, among the first in Italy, the company obtained FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, and today it is able to guarantee the traceability and sustainability of the entire chain of custody, from the planting of the trees to the sale of the finished product. But the FSC certification did not prove to be a point of arrival, but rather the beginning of a new growth path that led the company to develop an all-round natural product.
In fact, the term ‘Natural Culture‘ is intended to summarise a production philosophy that relies almost exclusively on the use of natural and sustainable materials. FSC-certified solid wood, water-based adhesives with zero emissions of harmful substances, natural oil and wax finishes, high quality natural fibre fabrics, natural wine-based dyes and plastic-free packaging go to make up high quality and sophisticated design home and contract products.
